Current Policy Issues
The role of the Alaska Society of American Foresters Policy Committee is to advise the AKSAF executive committee on forest policy issues occurring in the state. Also, the policy committee strives to inform and engage the AKSAF membership on current policy matters. AKSAF participates in the political and administrative processes that generate policy by presenting our views to policy makers. These views are communicated by drafting position statements.
