Oregon Community Trees and the Oregon Department of Forestry have announced September 14th & 15th as the official dates of the 2021 Oregon Urban & Community Forestry Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Water Wise Community Forests: Strategies for our Future”.
The conference will be held virtually to protect the health and safety of our guests, partners, World Forestry Center staff, and OCT Directors.
“Water Wise Community Forests: Strategies for our Future”
2021’s Urban & Community Conference will cover research-based recommendations, ISA-Certified arborist perspectives, and Best Management Practice tips for community tree managers on how to think about — and plan for –stormwater, drought, and trees in an increasingly extreme climate. Presenters will cover the gamut from how trees experience stress, to green infrastructure, to “climate forward” tree selection. Additionally, there will be a presentation by PlanIT Geo on Oregon’s new Tree Plotter Inventory software, available for free to all cities throughout the state.
